The Whisperer

I am the whisperer of forgotten songs
The night who saw the dusk approaching
For unto me many things are known and yet unknown
And I am at once despot and killer, poet and sage
I am everyone I see and more as the illustrious tide turns
And that which I am will never leave
As hardships fall away their gifts already given
Unto me and my soul
I will become a master again on that day
That I choose to be
On that day I realize
I always was and yet knew it not
