Twisted Love

I was once not myself but another,
And another was not herself but me
We stayed on for a time,
and knew mostly pain
We grew apart but held on tight,
Out of fear of failure and loss of light
Then one day like a bird,
One flew away to find himself
No longer to toil and go no where,
All possessions behind but did not care
For until one can forgive,
To lay aside twisted love of fear
And be glad with oneself and all,
To find ones power and know no end
To love most dear then ever known
